One of my favourite book series turned into a lively and well done tv-movie series. Originally saw this on PBS

Bean, O'Malley, and everyone else work perfectly in the entire series, and while this first one is a little awkward, it still manages to get us introduced to almost everyone who we'll learn to love over the next twelve or so movies.

Since I don't want to write one review per episode for the Sharpe series I just write on here. The entire Sharpe series is absolutely wonderful. The story is great, the actors great and the script perfect. The music is also something extra, John Tams (also plays a part) is a great singer and "Over the Hills and Far Away" is addictive. Sharpe lands on a grade of 10 out of 5.

What a shame this mini series didn't catch on in the US. It still stands one of the best made-for-TV-movie.

"I never chorrrrrse ya." I think the Chosen Few were a little more than 8 budget-constraint men in the book. But there was no Sean Bean in the book so fuck you, book.
