best movie i’ve ever seen hands down. it was beyond moving. i can’t get over how amazing the entire movie was. i want to watch it over and over again. the acting is PHENOMENAL and Taron Egerton portrays Elton John incredibly. I couldn’t have asked to spend my money, that I bought my ticket with, on anything better.

Sadly this wasn't the film I expected. I liked it, and I think it's a good film but it's also a film that stayed halfway to what it promised. The story has its strengths and weaknesses and although the strengths help it a lot they never manage to compensate completely for their weaknesses and with this I mean the dramatic overload. Rocketman is a good story about Elton John's life but I don't think that everything in it occurred with such dramatic and depressing weight that permeates for most of the narrative. Music plays a crucial role and the musical numbers are the best that this story proposes. That helps to balance the tone and the rhythm is better after the first half hour. Taron Egerton delivers the best performance of his career although unfortunately he will not receive the same recognition as Rami Malek despite having done a better job than him. Unfortunately, that's the way things are. I would definitely recommend it. Like I said it wasn't what I expected but its quality sustains it well enough.

Taron egerton gave his best performance to date and this movie is a blast from beginning to end. Rocketman willfully delivers great music, an exciting story, and set oeices thst capture thr fun that thry intended to put on scrren. Do yoyrself s favor and chefk this movie out as it was clearly handled eith capable direftion and captures the over the top extravaganza that is Elton John's life.

It's impossible not to compare it with Bohemian Rhapsody. I'm sorry for whoever liked that one "about Queen" but it wasn't very good, with songs put only 'cause they're famous, if you ask the ones that like it, they just tell you that the recreation of the concert at the end is excellent, THAT'S NOT A MOVIE, if you want to see a concert you go to YT. Well, Rocketman is everything that the other wasn't: extraordinary performance by all the actors, spectacular script, great direction and scenery, drama and empathy for the characters, the drama with his parents is very emotional, they dive into his homosexual relationships and drug addiction. The director (Dexter Fletcher) is the same as Bohemian: it was Bryan Singer but Fletcher finished it. Another thing that went well is "the musical", Bohemian or A Star Is Born were not, they were about singers and that's why there were songs. I don't like the musical genre but this one is very good. The songs are very well integrated to what he tells us. In the end it feels long and stretched. "The Lion King" o "Sacrifice" are missing.
