I wish I could give this movie 4.75 stars, because it's not a perfect movie, but I gave it a five for how influential it was for Tarantino's career. The acting is great, with Tim Roth and Harvey Keitel stealing the show, and the directing at most times was perfect. Whenever you can open a movie the way Tarantino does is an art form that is mastered by very few, and that's why this is one of the best movies of the 90's.

Supremely written and white-knuckle intense, Reservoir Dogs is still one of Tarantino's best films that takes the viewer on a rollercoaster of violence and mystery made all the more interesting thanks to an exellent cast.

Simple premise executed to perfection. Reservoir Dogs truly announced the arrival of the most talented filmmaker of his generation in Quentin Tarantino. The dialogue is unbelievably smooth and engaging whilst the violence is stylistically brutal. All of this is made convincing by a fantastic cast who more than play a part in the phenomenal masterpiece that is Reservoir Dogs.

The feature-lenght directorial debut of Quentin Tarantino is just a classic of independient filmmaking. It's a gangster film about a robbery that's not shown on-screen, so we are left with nothing but wonderful acting and dialogue. This movie managed to make a lot with such a small budget and it's a movie that I would rewatch over and over.
