Une infame bouse adaptÃ©e d'un scÃ©nario de Clive Barker (encore furieux de la faÃ§on dont ses Ã©crits ont Ã©tÃ© malmenÃ©s). Le film est mal jouÃ©, les effets sont cheaps et le monstre est aussi flippant qu'un Casimir punk.

About as Piss-poor and Cornball as you can get. Rawhead, who looks like a 6'11'' cross between the troll from Ernest Scared Stupid and Taz, isn't imposing in the least, maybe it's his LED eyes or that you can see the mask outline throughout the whole movie. Only a 89 min long movie but still managed to drag in places and lack genuine thrills, so the script resorted to mindless 80s violence where children and women are put in harm's way, gee, it like watching Pet Sematary 2 again.

rawhead rex has got to be the most adorable demon that i've ever seen. he brutally murders folks, leaving them in maimed piles of blood and gore (granted, very cheesy blood and gore), but whenever you see his face, you just get the feeling that you should be pinching his cheeks like a grandmother rather than trembling in fear. this film is an absolute gold mine for making jokes...and yet, you don't have to poke fun in order to be entertained. if you like cheesy 80's horror, rawhead rex is a film you should definitely check out.

When a farmer decides to move a giant stone in his field, he unleashes an ancient evil that terrorises the local Irish countryside. An adaptation from Clive Barker's Books Of Blood, which a screenplay written by the author himself, 'Rawhead Rex' should be a great film, but what we have is a mixed bag. The story is engaging enough and is steeped in Irish mysticism, but it just never seems to get going, and one feels that major changes were made to the story during the shooting without consulting the author . The acting is not fantastic, and though it is not particularly wooden, it falls foul of strong Irish accents that just end up sounding like comedy impersonations. The special effects are good where it comes to the gore, but the title creature itself is not very well visualised, and looks like some kind of giant ape. In the end this movie is ok, but could have been a lot better and really hasn't stood the test of time.

You cant beat a film that has a vicar shouting " Piss on me Rawhead, Piss on me aaaahhhhh" Now thats quality!!!
