Provoked is the true story of Kiranjit Ahluwalia, a Punjabi woman who moved to London after her marriage with Deepak Ahluwalia. Her husband seemed caring at first but then began to beat her up. He started drinking a lot and sleeping around with other women. he also subjected her to spousal rape. After ten years and having two children with him, out of fear, she sets him on fire.

story of a punjabi women who is batttered and raped by her nasty husband for ten years until one day afetr taking a beating she flips and burns him and he dies. a touching story of abuse and a true story ashwariya was so wondful in this and you believed in the charcrter the story shows you how the legal system failed her and how she eventually got freedom . its sad that many women actually suffer so much abuse and it happens every day. its a real eye opener and it makes you think...
