KjÃ¦rlighet og kulturkollisjon. En sÃ¸t film, men den blir litt platt og forutsigbar, og Roisin synes jeg er en smule egoistisk til tider...

This is an excellent movie! I loved it. It is about two people who fall in love, but are from two different cultures. It tells a story of the difficulties of staying in love throughout one of the family's strict and set heritage. I can't really pinpoint exactly what I liked about the movie, except the story as a whole. It is very powerful and cute. And... Although the movie is in English, use the subtitles - their accents are thick, and I could hardly understand a word they were saying.

Neat exploration of external influences on a Muslim family unit in Scotland with an emphasis on realism in character with Loach's use of non-actors in key scenes.

Really enjoyed this film but some of the actors seemed to struggle with the Loach method of directing.
