Antonioni's must-see essay on the blurry lines between the real and the imagined, entangled with a murder mystery and 1960s mod London. David Hemmings excels as the iconic and emotionally empty photographer. Also features a very cryptic Vanessa Redgrave, the snake-like supermodel Veruschka, and Ricky-Tick cameos from Jimmy Page & Jeff Beck-era Yardbirds.

Upon second viewing, this was even better. One of the greatest movies in the mystery genre, or any genre for that matter.

Mod Culture! I'm sorry, girls, but this movie is just for men.

There's something about this movie that is haunting in a way. It's a great film that is based on an intriguing plot but where the plot is more of a palette than the story itself. Kind of brillant really. It's interesting that the main character is an arist because the entire movie is shot as if it were individual disjunct works housed in the same gallery. If you're not used to this type of film beware - there are a lot of loose ends never flushed out - but that's the point. It's a movie about disaffected (but not jaded) youth. People who fly from moment to moment and shift from emotion to emotion in nano-seconds. It's great.
