After Charles Forsyth was sent to the electric chair for a crime he didn't commit, he forever haunts the prison where he was executed. Flash forward several years when the prison is reopened, under the control of its new warden Eaton Sharpe, a former security guard who framed Charlie. When prisoners are ordered to break down the wall to the execution room, they unknowingly release the angry spirit of Charles Forsyth, a powerful being distributing his murderous rage to all, leading up to the Warden himself.

Its an okay movie, and cool for a late night watch i guess.

I don't understand how this film has gotten such a bad rap over the years, it's stood the test of time and is still shocking and emits a solid scare factor. The acting is above average for an 80's slasher film and the special effects look great. Still the story does present a few holes from time to time, who cares today it's a great cult classic that few have given the time of day.

Falls in the So-Bad-Its-Good genre with horrible acting from otherwise okay actors and cheesy 1980s effects. A movie to watch while laughing drunk if you can ever find it!

Hey look, it's one of Viggo Mortensen's first starring movies! Also, it sucks. It is extremely slow-paced with precious little happening for the first hour+ and there is so much shit that is either unexplained or poorly explained. Motive is questionable, and what the hell is the point of having the "original" guy also played by Viggo if it has absolutely no bearing on the plot.
