Not even a hardcore Pokémon fan, still a very great movie, so much fun in this film, everything is well done here 10/10

It's not very original and you'll see the ending coming from a mile away, but this is an otherwise solid film, and the CGI Pokémon look amazing. Plus, Ryan Reynolds is great.

Easily the best video game film adaptation I have ever seen. Detective Pikachu combines great acting performances, incredible CGI, and a charming story to create an entertaining and delightful movie. Having played Pokemon as a kid, I found it very nostalgic, but there is enough fresh things to make this appealing to even a non-Pokemon fan.

A fantastic movie for any Pokemon fan. There's a lot of fan service and the CGI Pokemon look amazing and are very fun to watch.
