It's great to see a comic book movie that stepped outside of the box and did something entirely different with the genre. There might never be a comic boo movie as good as this.

Best superhero film ever, no matter how many times I watch it I can never escape the growing desire to watch it again. Ledger's super villain is phenomenal and his maniacal presence make all the other characters appear great as well. The dark, grimy approach to the genre serves Batman's character superbly and together with the brilliant score it helps produce a tense, thrilling but mesmerising movie

One of the most important films to have been released in the last 10 years The Dark Knight shows off some of the very best storytelling along with terrific performances and beautiful cinematography. The world of The Dark Knight is dark, realistic and gritty despite the fact that the main character solves crime in a giant bat costume. This tone suits the film really well as a crime drama and tells a very exciting and compelling plot. However, perhaps the best thing about the film is Heath Ledger's chilling performance as The Joker. Ledger's performance perfectly captures the insanity of the character and is perhaps the best Joker ever put to screen. The Joker/Harvey Dent storyline of the film symbolises the fall of a great man and this classic plot is portrayed perfectly in the film. Overall, The Dark Knight is possibly one of the most important films in recent times, it has revolutionary special effects and performances and has a lasting effect on the superhero genre as a whole, with films becoming darker after it's release.

Wow. This film was amazing. The realisticness Of It. The acting. Heath Ledger gave One Of The Greatest Performances Of All Time. This is my favorite movie.
