We can't help but feel that by comparison with the meaty and compelling issues he takes on so fearlessly, so scabrously in the other entries, Paradise: Hope ends up somewhat toothless.

The sensitivity and empathy with which Seidl explores the pangs of first love might catch many viewers off guard.

Anna Tatarska 13 Mar 2014

Seidl is one of the masters of "happy-sad" storytelling. This time, however, his world lacks structural and emotional clarity.

gezien 16/11 oosterwolde. Mooie afsluiting van deze trilogie. Blijkbaar gaan in oostenrijk de drie-eenheod geloof, hoop en liefde in een andere volgorde.

Adam Woodward 31 Jul 2013

With this sublime trilogy under his belt, Seidl must surely be considered one of Austrian cinema's great auteurs.
