It's most likely to appeal to fans of the Haruki Murakami novel on which it's based, and they're the least likely to enjoy it.

Visually stunning and an interesting coming of age story of a young man in Japan in 1967. Really conveys a sense of life in Japan at that time. If you are like me and love all of the novels by Haruki Murakami you are going to like this flick.

"The grief over a death of someone you loved can never be healed. We can only live with the sorrow and learn something out of it." I really enjoyed this movie, if you can really enjoy something this painful and emotional. The emotions or the great actors in Norwegian Wood is why this movie works and why the Descendants fell short. I hope people will see this movie and then go out and buy the book and fall in love with Murakami and his writing.

Beautiful, tragic, impeccable scenery, props, costumes and acting. I don't know what else to say, except this film is the adaptation of one of my favourite books of all time, and it wasn't a disappointment, I just happen to be a little destroyed right now! Oh boy!
