Noriko's Dinner Table (2005)

A teenager named Noriko Shimabara runs away from her family in Toyokawa, to meet Kumiko, the leader of an Internet BBS, Haikyo.com. She becomes involved with Kumiko's family circle, which grows darker after the mass suicide of 54 high school girls.

This movie is so painfully slow. If I hadn't seen suicide club I would have probably not had such high expectations, but I did. This is nothing like the other movie. Just 3 hours of really slow moving social commentary.

Una maratona di 160 minuti, che lascia confusi, ma anche molto appagati, colpiti dall'incredibile impatto emotivo del film e dalle sue numerose sfaccettature. Completamente diverso dal predecessore, ma non meno valido: sicuramente da apprezzare e da rivedere!

There is nothing disapointment about this. In many way's better than Suicide Club. This is the greatness I was hoping for from lynch when I saw Inland Empire. This is brilliant. Sion Sono is one of if not THE most important directors working now, and he has made porn. I have yet to see a bad film from this man. I Recommend a night where you watch all of his films in a row. It will blow your Fing Mind.

The pace of this film is too slow for me. I find myself very bored while watching it. The voice over is also too much. You don't need to tell the audience what the characters are doing on the big screen from the voice over while the audience is watching they doing it. The film has its great point; it has great messages inside. Yet, the pace of the film just make people feel impatient. And it is sick and my mind vibrates watching those girls singing happily before they jump into the railway and.... it is just sick..
