A teenager named Noriko Shimabara runs away from her family in Toyokawa, to meet Kumiko, the leader of an Internet BBS, Haikyo.com. She becomes involved with Kumiko's family circle, which grows darker after the mass suicide of 54 high school girls.

I'm not sure what to say. I swear off Asian movies everytime I see one b/c of their complexity, but I end up watching another one because they are made of win. This is just another example of a mindfuck that was done really well.

This movie is so painfully slow. If I hadn't seen suicide club I would have probably not had such high expectations, but I did. This is nothing like the other movie. Just 3 hours of really slow moving social commentary.

Very slow to develop, but the details culminate in one of the most tense scenes I've ever witnessed. Brilliantly acted and emotionally honest, this is a powerful film, though it is hard to say exactly why.

Poetic. Dreamy. Surreal. There's just something about the way Sion Sono puts together a film that appeals to me. The assemblage maybe more than the film.
