The movie does what it sets out to do: stranding the viewer in a dark place, surrounded by remorseless predators. It’s an old recipe that can still please a crowd.

Though far more elegant in execution than most Rob Zombie-imitating films, Jackals smugly wears its violent tediousness as a badge of honor.

John Higgins 04 Sep 2017

The cast try hard, but the audience will inevitably feel cheated because of the tried-and-tested format of such a film like this.

Chris Alexander 21 Aug 2017

Saw VI director Kevin Greutert's lean, mean and rough horror movie Jackals is a dirty little gem.

Interesting twist on the typical home invasion movies but certainly left room for improvement. It did have one or two edge of seat moments and a few gory scenes but nothing to brag about. Worth a watch for any easily pleased horror fans!
