Der zweite Teil der Mission: Impossible Reihe legt noch einen drauf! Diesmal ist John Woo an der Reihe. Mit seinem visuellen Action Stil mit Ballettartigen Einlagen, ist es ein grosses Vergnügen, Ethan Hunt zuzuschauen, wie er wieder einmal die Welt rettet. Tom Cruise hat seine Rolle als Hunt weiter ausgearbeitet und man sieht ihm auch an, dass er Spass daran hatte. Auch die Rolle von Dougray Scott gibt einen würdigen Gegenspieler ab, der mehr oder weniger gleich stark ist, wie Cruises Rolle. Thandie Newton bleibt dagegen eher blass. Regisseur John Woo treibt die Actioneinlagen mit einer wilden und manchmal in Slow Motion, typische Kamerafahrten von Woo, auf die Spitze! Sicher ist der erste Teil eher noch ein Agententhriller. Der zweite Teil ein Action Ballett, dass nicht viel Tiefgang hat. Spass macht der Film trotzdem! Fazit: Actionorgie das nicht mehr viel mit der klassischen Serie zu tun hat. Dafür absolut sehenswert in der Aufmachung!

Good actions and acting from Tom Cruise. The ending was very suspenseful as well as the break-in into the facility. Ving Rhames was good once again.

Action-filled follow-up to the original. I felt that this sequel focused more on the action and less on the story than the first movie. It was a more straight-forward type of action movie. This isn't an all bad thing as the action was very well done and the story was a decent one. The acting here is pretty good. There are actually quite a few fine actors in this movie, some in fairly small parts like Hopkins and Gleeson. It was nice to have Rhames back as Ethan Hunt's "partner-in-crime" and I think Cruise did a really good job reprising his role as Hunt.

brilliant action scenes, bit of a slow burner but amazing last 30 minutes of high adrenalin action, love this film.

01/13 I actually liked this better than the 1st movie. The motorcycle slo-mo chase/fight was quite awesome as was the final fight scene. Yeah Tom's hair should have been given its own credit but I liked it.
