After getting a green card in exchange for assassinating a Cuban government official, Tony Montana stakes a claim on the drug trade in Miami. Viciously murdering anyone who stands in his way, Tony eventually becomes the biggest drug lord in the state, controlling nearly all the cocaine that comes through Miami. But increased pressure from the police, wars with Colombian drug cartels and his own drug-fueled paranoia serve to fuel the flames of his eventual downfall.

An astounding motion picture, Scarface ranks among the top films, in my list of best ever done. Not only does it receive an Academy Award worthy performance by Al Pacino, but it delivers a story that flows almost as perfectly as it lands. In the process of looking for faults with this movie, I can only say that my biggest problem with this film is that it had to end. Tony Montana is not only a character that you love and want to see succeed, but a man that you learn to dislike and even hate in some parts. His quest, which starts out with ambition, because a rollercoaster of greed and betrayal, where you can't help, but be enamored by this peasant turned king. I've seen this film a good amount and all I can say is that it's absolutely perfect. If you can't appreciate this film, I really can't imagine what reasons you'd have.

This flick still stands the test of time for a great crime movie. Pacino gives one of his best performances and this is one of the all time quotable movies. The ultra-violence lends itself to some of the most memorable scenes in cinema ever. This coupled with the lesson of showing how excess and greed corrupts and leaves one hollow and empty. A must watch IMHO.

The only movie I've watched over 10 times and the only one that it can gets you both hyped and and emotionally sad! MASTERPIECE IT NEVER GETS OLD!!!!

"The world chico. And everything in it." Scarface is now a 21st century classic......It well deserves this title. Al Pacino gives his best performance ever in this bloody, emotional, and oddly moving underground drug market movie. The moral of the story is, money is the downfall of all men.
