Really a work of love. Beautiful sets, shots, colours... Spot-on acting, gestures.. A very painful visual understanding of Mishima's novels and life.

This film was directed by Paul Schrader, who wrote "Taxi Driver" and many other films. The set design, acting, cinematography, and editing in this movie are all amazing. However, this film may not appeal to people who are not fans of hara kiri.
