No one does it to you like Roman Polanski! Safe to say this one is my favorite Polanski film, and perhaps one of, if not his most, under appreciated work, considering it had the great misfortune of following Chinatown.

"Is it you, is it me or is it simply history?" as Psychic TV put it in their "Roman P." Relates pretty well to this mindfuck of a movie. It's eerie, all right. Identity, the Symbolic Order: in the words of Zizek: "Can one really tolerate a neighbour?"
