One of the best movies ever. Peter Ustinov is brilliant, and the film is deeply and profoundly Christian. A must see and a must own... if only it were on DVD

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch.......its got a good cast of actors/actressess thorughout this movie......i think that robert taylor, deborah kerr, leo genn, finlay currie, patricia laffan, peter ustinov, abraham sofaer, marina berti, buddy baer play good roles/parts throughout this movie......i think that finlay currie, buddy baer, peter ustinov were great throughout this movie........i think that the director of this classics/drama/epic/adventure movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throguhout this movie.......i think that this is a great classics movie 2 watch its a brilliant movie 2 watch n its enjoyable movie

They don't make 'em like this anymore! Drags in places, not unexpectedly for a three-hour flick, but still. Thousands of extras, gargantuan sets and a Peter Ustinov that nearly dwarfs it all. Shame about the pan-n-scan, though.

Not exactly an epic storyline to go with the epic filmmaking job done here. The cast is nice, but nobody makes an impression like Ustinov who creates a brilliant but mad Nero who never seems to look at anyone and who's delivery of lines feels like he craves sympathy from his subjects.
