Men with Brooms (2002)

A decade ago, curler Chris Cutter disappeared suddenly on the verge of stardom, dropping his curling stones to the bottom of a lake and leaving his fiancée, Julie Foley, at the altar. But when his former coach dies, Cutter returns home for the funeral and attempts to fulfill the man's last wishes. The team is reunited under Cutter's estranged dad, Gordon — himself a former curling star — for a final attempt at glory.

A Canadian film that I've watched DESPITE Callum Keith Rennie not being in it! I enjoyed it, a kind of curling version of dodgeball without the gross humour. It does however have Paul Gross in it, and he is humorous. There was no pun intended there either!

I don't care that this movie played off of EVERY Canadian stereotype and then beat them to death. It was entertaining and fun.

One of the most famous Canadian comedies in recent years, this flawlessly funny film from Paul Gross is undeniable proof that Canadians know comedy. Bold and Bizarre while still being touching and full of heart, the film is a fun filled romp through everything that makes this counrty and it's film industry great. Men With Brooms is comedy as bold, bright, and Canadian as it comes.

A wacky, heartfelt and hilarious comedy. A great film. Filled with great laughs, compelling characters, smart lines and lots of music from great bands. The actors have sharp and compelling chemistry. Paul Gross crafts a wonderfully crafted and well-written movie gem. Giving his best and most liketable performance and character since his Tv show Due South. Leslie Nielson is brilliant. men with brooms is a comic dazzeler.
