Is this film just about sex, just because it shows sexual actions in very explicit and many scenes? No its about love. This sex scenes were shoot in a very aesthetic, but also realistic looking way , not terrible over the top and totally stereotypical unrealistic like in many Hollywood movies. But for me this movie is not just a pseudo-controversial-provocative film about sex. Its definitely about love. And you can feel that, also when you dont live in a relationship with someone. The cadres are beautiful, i love the long cuts and pauses with short black screens, which brings a huge charming, quiet and romantic atmosphere. Its also a ironic movie about film making and directing cliches, a funny way to say something about his love about movies. Also sometimes beeing very epileptic the film does need some time.

Bellísima, pero tiene sus falencias, es a mi juicio el trabajo más difícil de apreciar de Gaspar Noe debido a su contenido sexual explícito, por lo que para los que no hayan visto sus otras películas y piensan empezar por esta recomiendo no hacerlo, ya que Love podría no gustarle al espectador común y considerarla una simple película pornografica. La historia es a simple vista simple y sencilla de entender tampoco es perturbadora en el mal sentido de la palabra, se requiere una mente muy abierta para apreciar la magnífica puesta en escena y la maravilla y sentimiento que transmite. Love trata precisamente de eso del amor, principalmente del amor de pareja y del amor parental, con todos sus pros, sus contras ventajas y desventajas.

It’s a daring move for director Gaspar Noe to start "Love" off with a climax- but he’s a daring director with a career for cinephiles to follow. Martin a self professed sentimental romantic film student in Paris navigates love and commitment through the eye of his penis. Sex in love. Sex out of love. Sexual consequences as the same carnal acts are repeated as the partners drift apart. A transcontinental mating game that tries your patience yet still reveals some truths in between the sheets.
