Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969)

After returning to Los Angeles from a group therapy session, documentary filmmaker Bob Sanders and his wife, Carol, find themselves becoming vigilante couples counselors, offering unsolicited advice to their best friends, Ted and Alice Henderson. Not wanting to be rude, the Hendersons play along, but some latent sexual tension among the four soon comes bubbling to the surface, and long-buried desires don't stay buried for long.

Hm. This movie has a bit of a monomania complex with sex. I mean, how much can you really push a subject before the tireless repetition kicks in? I lasted about half an hour. The orgy was diminished BECAUSE they talked about it soo much. I mean I understand it's a satire but way to focus only on the sex and have no characters and no plot and no conflict at all, guys. That being said, Natalie Wood is sooo gorgeous. I still cannot believe that adorable, precocious little girl in Miracle on 34th Street grew up to become THIS.

Great stuff all around here. Hilarious and daring take on married relationships. Some parts dated, yes, but the true core relationship stuff rings true even now. Plus Natalie Wood has never been more sexy!

Classic "dirty" movie on "free love" and "psycho babble" in the 1960s. After seeing the opening scene, I know now where the Cialis bath tub commercials came from. I can't believe that even though I grew up in the 1950s through the 1970s, now was the first time I saw it.

This must have been scandalous at the time it came out with all that nudity and questionable morals but now.... just a bit odd. Hilarious moments, especially towards the end. not everything is what it seems. I especially enjoyed seeing young Elliot Gould (precisely the same way of wearing a bathrobe as in Oceans 11-13) and young Dyan Cannon (anyone remember judge Whipper Cone????)

I may be a little kind with my star rating but I am little biased due to some of the talent involved....still, I must say I was so sad that this movie didn't meet my expectations. It actually just seemed boring and it never got my attention....and it pains me to say that.
