Flawless...everything great about the book. I thought the film was even better. If you think that the story has only one main point or that it's about man's inherent savagery, you need to read more from Golding and about his life. In fact, i would say it's a criticism of the ills of our society rather than of Man's basic nature

As a novel, Lord of the Flies never was much more than a Brat Pack Heart of Darkness. It’s doubtful a screen version could be any better than this one.

i didnt read the book, dont intend to.. i had to watch the movie for a college essay.. it was accually not to bad but not to good either
