The book is incredible and so is the movie. The beginning credits are captivating with the transition of the civilized boys in the classroom to the over powering barbarism of WW II with the lulling and then truculent sounds of drums. Also, the cinematography is prime, not flashy and it emanates such realism throughout the film. I think Golding would be very pleased with this adaptation of his highly regarded novel.

This is the better adaptation of the book, true to the source material and all the better for it. It's probably a bit dated by now, though.

This is a super movie about how boys can become wild without the care of adults. The boys look great too.

En god filmatisering av den kjente boken. Skremmende!

One of the scariest movies ever for a sociologist, psychologist, or anyone with half a brain who thinks systemically. Disturbing to the extreme.
