a great movie and a great portrait of what Rome was like in the 1950s--see the young Celentano perforing with his band, the parties, the madness and so on. The term paparazzo was coined by Fellini in this movie and is now universally used--which tells how important this movie has been. Anita Ekberg looks like a Johns Hopkins student from the late 1990s...

Boobs. Glorious, gigantic boobs. Redefined the boob film. Also, Marcello Mastroianni and the origin of the Paparazzi.

An erotic, existentialist, and irresistably seductive masterpiece.

People have written too much about this film. I saw it on video years ago, then at a Fellini retrospect in an art house theatre a few years afterwards. Two rules about seeing this film to enjoy it thoroughly: have an interest in Italian Surrealist cinema or at least be very open to something new, and see it in a theatre, preferably with a subtitle machine below it.
