I never thought it would be possible but I actually detested the character the Johnny Depp played. I always new he was a brilliant actor but this was an Oscar worthy performance. The Earl of Rochester was truly a vial human being and it shows who he was and all his deeds. The cinematography was perfection with just the right things lit to draw your eye.

This is a very good moive, I had to watch it a few times to fully get what was going on though. Johnny is amazing in this, but of course as a hugh fan of his I don't like the ending too much.

This movie is flat out amazing. Johnny Depp kicks ass and Jon Wilmot, the second Earl of Rochester is seldom talked about when compared to other libertines such as Marquis De Sade, but he is an amazing historical figure in his own right.
