Kiss Me Kate (1953)

A pair of divorced actors are brought together to participate in a musical version of The Taming of the Shrew. Of course, the couple seem to act a great deal like the characters they play, and they must work together when mistaken identities get them mixed up with the mafia.

Phenomenal Choreography, nice music, amazing dancing-- but I like the story/script better in the filmed play version of it. Grayson came across as too annoying.

Eh. It was okay. I really didn't like Kathryn Grayson, but Ann Miller and Howard Keel were great, and I did enjoy the musical numbers, and Taming of the Shrew is my favorite Shakesperean play (sexism aside).

Fun musical with an awesome Cole Porter score, great dancing, and fun with the Taming of the Shrew concept playing out on and off stage!

Old school musical fun. A show within a show.

Fun sound stage musical which uses Shakespeare and his theme of a play within a play to great effect.
