Kika (1993)

I saw this film when I was only a 12ish straight boy, and I understood nothing about it, nowadays I can appreciate the essence of the film... a very innocent girl surrounded by a doggy enviroment where everything and everyone but her is fucking bullshit, once she discoveres everything, she'll try to settle her life into the right way... It's very funny and needs to be seen almost twice, I think after that film, almodovar changed his style, the films won't be neither better nor worse, definetly different.

This is worth watching for 2 reasons: 1. If you ever though that it is impossible for a rape to be hilarious this will prove you wrong (it did with me) 2. Have to see the leading lady standing next to the table cloth with a matching Gaultier dress. Hilarious with a strong 'The lost honour of Katerina Bloom' media attack

En DVD Con este filme Almodovar se mueve entre el un thriller de lo mas escabroso y la comedia disparatada, o una mezcla de ambas... que puede llegar a ser un virtuosismo o una especie de pastiche que no termina de definirse y crea algo bizarro, como los diseÃ±os de Jean Paul Gaultier, que empieza con buen pie pero luego flojea y se extiende inestablemente y va perdiendo intensidad. Sinembargo la frescura de las carecterizaciones le salvan y digamos que consigue no dejarnos del todo indiferentes.
