Radcliffe is up to the task of furthering himself from the long shadow of his Hogwarts past in this real life tale of a European Westerner looking for something more than the standard paths of his assigned life, only to find himself lost in the jungle in a bit of tragic parental karmic fate. Alas, the story does little though to delve into his psyche other than the adolescent urge to break free limiting our possible responses to the lead character's angst. Nonetheless, a decent survival tale howbeit with few unforeseen twists and turns.

The fundamental intensity of Ghinsberg’s story is hard to totally squander. When it doesn’t give in to the desire to be a more traditional crowd-pleaser, Jungle provides a graphic and unvarnished account of a genuinely incredible story.

Excellent movie. Kept us interested for the whole length. Only real down side is some of the low quality text used for "days" and the life explanations at the movies end. All in all worth the watch.

Jungle is a film that is worthy of praise for its creativity as it overall succeeds at bringing an incredible story to the big screen. While the film receives much positive praises from me (mostly due to Daniel Radcliffe's performance), I do feel the film's overall runtime could have been shaved off by approx 10-15mins max (couple of scenes do drag ever so slightly). Fellow supporting actors interrupted key moments in selected scenes and the cast do not always act on a level that is consistent with each other. - Finesse Movie Reviews

A gripping and brutally realistic survival drama anchored in the breathtaking performance of Daniel Radcliffe. As most actors who start out in a franchise, his most notable role will forever be Harry Potter but this hasn?t stopped Radcliffe from taking on incredibly challenging films such as Imperium and now this Oscar-worthy, heartbreaking true story. I was unable to take my eyes off the screen, expect from some quite disturbing scenes. I look forward to seeing what?s in store for this truly talented actor.
