Grant and Hepburn are a perfect team. Cukor was great with actors, and it shows. Marvelous and tragically forgotten.

To me, this film is much better than The Philadelphia Story and Bringing Up Baby. It isn't a screwball comedy, it's a romantic comedy, with a great message. Normally I don't like movies with a message, but Johnny's idea of finding purpose rather than money in life is truly inspiring. A little-seen classic for everyone. Oh, and Cary Grant is absolutely fantastic (as usual).

I think this movie has stood the test of time mainly because of the amazing chemistry between Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn. While they share very little time being intimate or expressing their love for each other in words, you can see it in their eyes. To add to that, the story really is quite original and it doesn't fall under the typical love story category. It goes against capitalism in many ways too, something I consider very brave at the time.
