Hitchcock (2012)

Following his great success with "North by Northwest," director Alfred Hitchcock makes a daring choice for his next project: an adaptation of Robert Bloch's novel "Psycho." When the studio refuses to back the picture, Hitchcock decides to pay for it himself in exchange for a percentage of the profits. His wife, Alma Reville, has serious reservations about the film but supports him nonetheless. Still, the production strains the couple's marriage.

best movie from a CLASSIC, also for any newbies going into the Start-ups or anyone looking for a DRASTIC change, Hitch is the man

This movie was great!!! Not only did it give a great insight into the mind and psych of a genius but his relationship/reliance on his wife... As a bonus I am now going to watch Psycho AGAIN for the FIRST time :)

A must see for sure. Aside from getting a glimpse into the life of one of the most famous directors of all time and learning a bit about the making of Psycho, it is even framed as one of his own "Hitchcock Presents" stories which was very clever indeed. Anthony Hopkins proves he's still got it by becoming the director in sight, in sound, and in movement. Also a great performance by Helen Mirren as his wife and longtime collaborator Alma Reville. Truly an Oscar worthy film since it kept me entertained and interested in what was going to happen next. It has inspired me to seek out and view Mr. Hitchcock's films which I've only known about through reputation alone.

**** is easily one of the best films of the year. Hopkins and Mirren's performances were superb. If you pay any attention to the trailer you will know what it is about. A must see film of the year.
