A masterpiece. An astonishing, outstanding and breathtaking piece of work. A powerful, riveting and exhilarating thrill-ride. An undeniable instant classic in it's own right. Al Pacino and Robert De Niro have never been better, some of their finest work as actors. An engaging crime drama filled with great acting, explosive gun fights, gripping characters and thrilling story which concludes in one awesome standoff. A stylish, crafty, edge of your seat action-packed thriller. It's a total powerhouse with some of the most well crafted and spectacular gun fights ever produced. Director, Michael Mann creates a masterful film of characters, story and style. One of the best films of the 90's. A cool and character driven flick. Great, solid and hard boiled entertainment. A brilliant, compelling and electrifying crime story with clever dialogue and great set pieces. It dazzling, sizzling and unforgettable. It sets fire to screen at a breakneck pace and incredible force.

Bon le moment est arriver de dire que ce film est...un putain de bon film. Les acteur sont excellents et juste. Michael Mann a eu la bonne idée de ne pas faire une scène grandiose entre la première rencontre de Al Pacino et Robert DeNiro. La fin est très impressionnante et ils ont réussi à nous tromper pour la mort de un des personnages principaux. La scène du braquage est une scène dont je me souviendrez toute ma vie.

Watched Michael Mann's Heat again yesterday. Watched it LONG back. Almost did not remember it at all. This is a masterpiece. The best work of Mann ever. Al Pacino and Robert De Niro are the soul of the movie. The clash between the two is splendid. Great background score, fantastic performances by Pacino and De Niro, great action with superb direction. One of my all time favorite movie. DO NOT MISS IT.

With an all star cast Detective Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino) hunts down a gang of armed robbers fronted by Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro). After robbing a money truck and killing all of its occupants after an over-zealous accomplice Waingro decides to start shooting it's occupants, the wanted gang plan and rob a major high-street bank. When catching the gang coming out of the bank a well-performed action-filled public gunfight ensues on the streets of New York ensues before McCauley escapes. When McCauley's whereabouts is tracked Hanna catches up to him at an airport before taking him out..
