Whether you're a conspiracy theorist or not, it's hard not to feel for Kevin Costner as Jim Garrison against the powerful antagonists.

A perfect film. Whether the facts are all correct or not, it still stands that JFK is an amazing and thought-provoking film that will leave you craving for answers, and having second thoughts about the assassination of John Kennedy. Many claim the film is over-long; however, Stone couldn't have even begun to have weaved the epic story that he has masterfully told in a movie any shorter than three hours.

For me, this is Stone at his best. How he manages to pull all of the conjecture and fact about JFK's assasination and make such a hypnotic and provoking film is something I just can't comprehend. Visually, this is a stunning film to watch and it is one of those films that really benefits from the editting process, which in this case is masterful. So much information is set out in the film and it never feels forced. Up front, Costner is terrific, his delivery of the courtroom speech in the last 45 mins or so is breathtakingly good. When you also get the likes of Pesci, Kev Bacon, Tommy Lee Jones (very creepy) and Donald Sutherland to name a few, you get the sense that this is grand film making. It's not perfect and there are numerous scenes that could have been dropped (mainly the domestic strife scenes with Sissy Spacek) which didn't add anything to the story. Ultimately, intelligent material like this doesn't come round that often and kudos to all involved for making it.

A riveting political thriller that almost ties you to your seat except the thought-provoking concepts which have you racing to your nearest bookshelf to go conspiracy-crazy! The points seem legit enough for us to be bought and sold by director Oliver Stone's flashy use of montage, collecting points and ideas into a coherent whole by ends meet. One of the best pictures of the decade and perhaps the best film directed by Oliver Stone. His level of research matches that of Kubrick-like obsession and cinematically he presents it as an exercise in Eisenstein cinema.
