really. is this movie for real. the Best movie for a 3d session since avatar. amazing!

I was really surprised at how much I liked that movie (I am a fan for years and own all the anime, still have to get the manga). I loved how this movie was essentially an adaptation of the first anime, going as far as recreating whole scenes with the amazingly cast ScarJo, who did a perfect job on this! What surprised me most, wa how they took elements from all of the anime and mixed them in order to create one richer picture, than the originals themselves. We got the fake memories and parts of Majors past from Arise, the villain from 2nd Gig and the overall plot from the first one. They did tone down the technoblabble and the high-sci-fi concepts, as well as all the infighting between the government agencies, which confused the hell out of me sometimes, so by making it easier to understand, they managed not to dumb it down! To me, this movie was not an adaptation of Ghost in the Shell... it IS Ghost in the Shell.

Underrated! I liked it!! Oh, and the "she's not Asian" controversy is all sensational.

I am a massive fan of the Original movies, animated series, and manga. This movie was nearly spot on and true to style as a live action. They nailed, perfectly, so many small details from the animated series and movies. I loved this adaptation.

I have zero complaints about this movie, great flick. I would of chosen a different actress or made her voice less robotic if I'm being nit picky . I think a must see.
