Evil Dead (2013)

Mia, a drug addict, is determined to kick the habit. To that end, she asks her brother, David, his girlfriend, Natalie and their friends Olivia and Eric to accompany her to their family's remote forest cabin to help her through withdrawal. Eric finds a mysterious Book of the Dead at the cabin and reads aloud from it, awakening an ancient demon. All hell breaks loose when the malevolent entity possesses Mia.

I advise you not to listen to anyone who gives this a poor movie or mediocre review. This is one of the best horror movies ever made. More gore that you could ever want, stylishly shot and elements that make you very uncomfortable watching.

For what this movie is, it's exactly the gritty, gross, intense, and just plain gruesome experience I was looking for when I started this movie. Yes it's not the evil dead that evil dead fans wanted, but you can't deny the fact that it is my favorite horror movie to date that I have seen.

Loved this film... wanted a film to scare me and this one payed out. I was hiding behind pillows and my hands... great fun. Would definitely recommend. A great demonic story.
