A dark and disturbing comedy. In Herzog's own words, "the gloomiest of the gloom." A cast of midgets, cannibal chickens, camels shitting...what more can you ask for? Harmony Korine and Crispin Glover worship this film.

There is something beyond hypnotic about this movie. It constantly feels dream like and almost nightmarish. The film centers on the chaos of the uprising on inhabitants of an island. The laugh of the one little old man is the best and when he gets a case of the giggles its gold. There is so much to dig in this movie

This has all the good stuff; blind midgets, laughing midgets, running midgets, whore midgets, drunk midgets. It's one of the bets midget movies out there that touched on so many world problems that even I couldn't understand. Werner Herzog is a mad man and crazy enough the same dude that made Rescue Dawn.

weird shit! Werner Herzog is a filmaker without ground, only a kind of genious could fly so majestically through a wide and complex range of emotions. He could nearly do all kind of movies and get away well with it. I just strongly condemn the way they treat animals in this movie.

Mental. It features a dwarf laughing at a camel for three minutes and a crucified monkey being towed around a garden by a dwarf on a tricycle. There are a lot of dwarves in this film. More than strictly necessary.
