Whimsical, occasionally dark but always pleasant to look at. Gene Wilder is awesome as Willy Wonka

This movie goes to depths of the human psyche that most children's movies would be terrified to even think about.

classic film based on a great book (though the remake stays more in tune with the book than this). one of my favorite movies as a child

One of my ALL TIME favorites! So much nostalgia and whimsy packed into one movie. I'm not a critic but I know a good movie when I see one. :)

Better than the Johnny Depp remake. A classic heartwarming story with originality and imagination. Nowone will ever beat Gene Wilder in the way he brough Willy Wonka to life.
