Day of Wrath (1943)

In a Danish village in the early 1600s, a young woman named Anne, whose mother was thought to be a witch, develops sympathy toward an old woman, Marte, who is accused of witchcraft. The intervention of Anne's older but kindly husband, Pastor Absalon saved her mother -- but now, urged on by his overbearing mother, he refuses to help Marte. I couldn't finish watching this low budget film starring Christopher Lambert. What has happened to the guy somebody please give him a propper role to play. Once again his character has a drinking problem and struggles with the ladies. I can name 4 film's off-hand that I remember he had the same background. Anyways, besides the movie looking sh*t, the acting not helping either, the story seemed interesting but I just couldn't sit through the lengthy running time. Rent on own accord!

Not the best movie mystery about the Inquisition, but far from the worst. Some of the characters, including Lambert's, act like buffoons, just about every scene is on a sound stage, and historical accuracy is nil, but the mystery itself isn't too bad. However if you want to see a first class movie of this genre, watch The Name of the Rose, or a PBS episode of Cadfael.

A wide array of european actors struggle with this Spanish Inquisition melodrama that is almost impossible to make hed or tail of. Lambert still cant act, Blessed is still so far over the top he's half way down the other side and well before the end you will have given up caring about the ridiculous story

Pretty poor flick, the only thing it had going for it was lambert but not even he could do this film justice.

Succeeded in what it was trying to accomplish and Lambert gives does well. However the film is extremely boring and the directing was horrible. Plot could cause much confusion in those who do not have a background on this topic as well. Not worth watching unless you are a fan of Christopher
