Powerfully moving, beautifully acted adaptation of the Steinbeck novel with Henry Fonda in usual brilliant form and marvellous direction from the great John Ford.

Steinbeck's Dust Bowl story by way of Ford's poetic realism. Fonda and Darwell, among others, shine.

A very good John Steinbeck Story & a wonderful movie.

Quintessential American actor, Henry Fonda, gives the performance of his life. The final scene between Fonda and Jane Darwell is what America used to be about and may be again when we come to our senses.

" We're the people that live. They can't wipe us out; they can't lick us. We'll go on forever, Pa, 'cause we're the people." .... Awonderful adaptation of one of the most classy literary works of american history . An unpleasentl journey of a farmer family with great depression and pain . . Last half was some different from original ending of novel due to "political" reasons. However a GREAT movie with powerful actings.
