Jack Lemmon is all you need to know. A great father son film. A tearjerker. worth seeing!

If you've heard the old Harry Chaping song "cats in the cradle" you can save yourself the 2 hours it takes to watch this dreck. One of those movies that Hollywood makes to wind awards without actually being any good.

Cute. Nice developing, once again, of the father-son relationship. Family drama, and good performances. Jack Lemmon's just awesome, he steals the whole show. Danson's good, yet he's obviously shadowed by Lemmon. Nice to see a really young Ethan Hawke, too.

I just watched this for the first time. I loved it I don't know what other movies it was in the running with in 1900 but I bet if this move had been made today, Jack Lemmon would have had a best actor nomination instead of only a nod for the Golden Globe. He was terrific. There were a lot of important lessons in this heartwarming movie.
