Once you get through the first half of this film, it takes a turn down memory lane with Rob Zombies House of 1000 Corpses, except this is not so much littered with gore as the viloence isn't as bad as we think it will be. It relys more on phychological aspects and a pretty interesting flow of story most of it's last 3 quarters. We don't get the typical characters in a dumb horror film here.. they actually have brains and the villians just as much.. Sid Hagg is great here as well, and Mehcah Brooks from season 2 of True Blood steals the show here. I think the films only few downfalls is that they created a creature that is actually not that terrifying at all and the random spew of nudity at the start. Whats most thrilling here is the acting and what the characters do with this mild script at hand. It's grade A for a class B film, which may sound like an oxymoron, but it does work quite well.

Nothing new here...though there are much worse monster movies you could be watching. This one is a few steps above a made for syfy movie.

The effects in general, really, are just OK....the movie isn't terrible, but it's certainly not anything that's going on your favorites list...

Ummmmmm........ No the acting, the everything was just all around corny. I jumped once but thats it.

You know the quality of the film your watching when within less than a minute the first female you see is stripping down to present us with full frontal nudity and then every female character after that is clearly obligated to take her top off at every opportunity whether appropriate or not. And don't get me started on the studio executive who thought it was a good idea to release this theatrically, in the US at least, I hope they lost their job over this as this film should be shown nowhere other than the Syfy channel very late at night. Avoid like the plague unless you are very, very, very drunk.
