The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014)

What starts as a poignant medical documentary about Deborah Logan's descent into Alzheimer's disease and her daughter's struggles as caregiver degenerates into a maddening portrayal of dementia at its most frightening, as hair-raising events begin to plague the family and crew and an unspeakable malevolence threatens to tear the very fabric of sanity from them all.

Put logic aside and this is a great demonic possession movie. Nice slow burn and slowly reveals itself. Most movies don't have genuinely intense creepy moments these days. Debra Logan is chalked full of them. There are several moments that will stick in your head for a long time to come.

I'm a teenager and horror movies don't scare me. I just like watching them for my own reasons, to explain might take awhile. I saw this and it had me pacing back and force at 3am. The first time you watch this its the scariest thing. The way it was made, it could've been real for all we know. Just watch the film and you'll know what I'm talking about. Good Luck!

It doesn't get any better than this for my fellow horror fans...seriously creepy, disturbing and wonderful from start to finish.. Not for the faint of heart so non horror fans watch at your own risk.. I love this movie!!!

Many of the unknown horror films out there that are scattered around Netflix are not worth watching. The Taking of Deborah Logan however, is a diamond in the rough and somehow takes the tried and true documentary film style and makes it exciting again. Things start off slow as the crew follows an old women with alzheimer's but as they film her every move in her home, things get weird and scary. I enjoyed how the film took things away from the house and used various other locations but still kept the same creepiness and dread that the house contained. The acting by everyone involved was great and the old lady, wow, what a job she did. I was surprised at how many scenes seemed very high budget and I appreciated the work that was put in to make this film seem believable and very very eerie. If you want a good solid horror movie, with just the right amount of jump scares and a great atmosphere, give this one a watch.

If you are a horror movie fanatic, like me, you will definitely want to see this film. Honestly, I was tired of watching found footage horror movies, but decided to give this one a try. I am glad that I did. It is crazy how scary an old lady with Alzheimer's can be. The suspense of what might happen and anticipating jump scares made it hard for me to keep my eyes glued to the screen.
