The film captures the essence of the 60's and of the sci-fi adventure movies of that time.

This movie has some hits as well as some misses. Roman Coppola's is ambitious but his direction is unpolished. He complicates the film more than he needed too. Decent effort to recreate the era, and I liked the art direction and score. Giancarlo Giannini is memorable.

About film making, self doubt, being an artist and love vs success. Dont think it even came out at the cinema in the UK, which is a shame.

Luscious piece of film-making, incredibly rich with references, but at its heart this film is about someone searching. I want to see more from Roman Coppola.
