Single dad Richard meets Christine, a starving artist who moonlights as a cabbie. They awkwardly attempt to start a romance, but Richard's divorce has left him emotionally damaged. Fantastic! I can't help a giggly smile on my face whenever I watch this. Each character is complexly constructed, honestly played, and presented from a quirky perspective. What's there to want?

Most wonderful independant film I have seen. Other than the awkward scenes this movie was absolutely wonderful. I have not enjoyed a film more since the science of sleep.

Quirky and well acted, especially by the children. Good character development. Great work from the director who wrote and also plays in the movie.

One of the most unique and beautiful films I've seen in ages. Miranda July will hopefully make more movies after this. She has proved herself as a great writer and director. This film is all about the difficulty of trying to connect with others. The way July delicately handles the difficult subject matter involving her child actors is commendable.

unconventional, non-formulaic and off-beat, just as the soundtrack suggests. however, it is compelling and beautiful, quirkiness and all. the relationships that the children form is especially captivating, particularly that of the seven year old who begins an internet relationship with a complete stranger. very interesting!
