A 1960's take on paganism and the occult which seems very lightweight and dated now. The director employs too many camera techniques to convey the growing disquiet and tension, but this just serves to irritate the viewer in my opinion. Not one for the casual observer.

Before The Wicker Man, there was Eye of the Devil. Director J. Lee-Thompson certainly has an eye for stylish high-anxiety situations. The cast of the movie is impressive.

A young Donald Pleasance and a beautiful Sharon Tate are interesting to see, but J. Lee Thompson overdirects a slow moving plot with a rather weak script and some lackluster performances from other cast members. Not recommended.

This movie scared me so much when I was little. Especially David Hemmings character. I don`t think he says more than one or two words in this movie, but his presence is disturbing in every scene he`s in.

great movie.. sharon tate is really good although she's not an actress :D
