Court (2015)

A sewerage worker's dead body is found inside a manhole in Mumbai. An ageing folk singer is tried in court on charges of abetment of suicide. He is accused of performing an inflammatory song which might have incited the worker to commit the act. As the trial unfolds, the personal lives of the lawyers and the judge involved in the case are observed outside the court.

Court is fascinating, affecting and completely engrossing while delivering a devastating critique of a system so antiquated and absurd that a woman is told her case won't be heard today because she is wearing a sleeveless top.

OK this movie requires a bit of patience. And in the end it leaves you dissatisfied. But it really doesn't because "dissatisfied" is the underwhelming inherent feeling of injustice. Just go see it for yourself.
