I watched that film , Seriously it's so prefect and I think that all scenes describe the real truth about interrogating people without any permission. With sadism and torture , Pain and some tragic memories from the victim when she was young. Alan rickmen was prefect actor to act that sadistic interrogator. He made me cry because of his way of torture, and I thought that I was the victim. But I couldn't understand the ending scene yet and made me think if she would be alive or dead. Actually This film describes what happens in some countries, like in middle east for example.

I love Alan Rickman - he is one of the coolest actors out there... this movie is really unique - two actors one scene for the entirety... you have to check it out...

This movie gives me the chills. It's terrifying and thought-provoking. The actors are brilliant and the content is very akin to 1984 type society but the point is that it's happening now. In countries around the world people's rights are violated everyday. Just like this womans.

i love this movie. my mom used to show it to her high school classes (theater and english), and i used to show it to my friends in high school. i'd love to see the play. actually, i'd love to act in the play. (and i don't act :)). inspiring and powerful female lead. fascinating set (or lack thereof)... leaves a few questions unanswered by combining the themes of child abuse/molestation and political torture/control... but in the bigger picture these two are very much connected, in my opinion... a preying on the innocent for power, the silencing it creates, and the lifeforce that can continue, somehow..

While this is a B budget movie, the thought behind it holds true, that if your way of doing things may be different, then you are going to be judged and most likley punished.
