John Wyndham's "Midwich Cuckoos" brought to life in a totally compelling and chilling film. You need to watch this with somebody!

As with a number of horror sequels the simplicity of the original is lost and it feels the need to convey a 'message'. It ends up being a bit of a mess but ultimately still quite an enopyable one.

Weirdly this sequel to the 1960 effort 'Village of the Damned' is the one that has lived in my memory. I've no idea why because on repeat viewing it's really terrible. What is the plot? The kids go to a church and start zapping everyone whilst the grown-ups argue about which International Embassy to take them to?! Zzzzz...

Like most sequels, I didnâ??t enjoy this one nearly as much as the original. Instead of leaving the explanations of the strange events unknown, this film had a very scientific approach to the creepy children with the deadly eyes. I did enjoy the Atomic Age twist on the story and how the children became politicized. Overall, not as amazing as the original, but a creative sequel worth seeing.

Solid quasi-sequel to the 1960 sci-fi classic 'Village of the Damned'. Though it's deliberately paced and talky, the story is strong, intelligent, and engrossing - and the rich black and white cinematography creates an eerie atmosphere, along with some effectively creepy child actors.
