A masterpiece of a bygone age, and my vote for the best Hollywood movie ever made. Nothing about this movie is short of stunning, from its dialogue, filled with classic one-liners and the best sign-off ever in a film, to its sumptuous production design to its acting, with each performer giving the best of their careers, particularly that consummate scene-stealer Claude Rains as the morally ambiguous captain of the police.

An drama with real impact, moreso considering the times when it was shot. Though somewhat ruined by the implausibility of certain plot lines. For one: the fact that Victor Laslo runs around town freely despite being a known escapee of a German concentration camp & being a resistance leader is quite baffling. Secondly, Captain Louis's sudden turnaround from a German conspirator to helping Rick escape at the end doesn't make sense given his character. Another problem I had with the film are some leading actors (especially Claude Rains) don't even bother with the keeping the nationality of the characters they're playing authentic. You could mistake Captain Louis as British even though he is supposed to be French. Though, I guess this is during a time where such things don't matter. Despite the problems, it is a highly enjoyable film. The leads, for the most part, provide excellent performances. The backdrop feels organic, helped by extras who were refugees themselves. Might be a little too slow-paced for some people, however.

I really loved this! Everyone is waiting, and waiting, and waiting, to get out of Europe and into America. But many are just stuck in Casablanca. Specifically, at Rick's. Bogart is just awesome - in the white tux and in the trench coat! Bergman is gorgeous! And the film is filled with so many classic lines, it's almost ridiculous! I bet this film will just get better and better, "As Time Goes By"! Play it again, Sam!

One of the greatest love stories of all time. A film about the sacrifice that must be made for the greater good. Ingrid Bergman is drop dead gorgeous in looks and spectacular in talent, matching Humphrey Bogart in quality of performance. A must see.

As Time Goes By, even in a 100 years, Casablanca is Casablanca, the movie with full of greatness, a Masterpiece, smart, beautiful, and simply one of the greatest movie i've ever watch.
