The problem with Chapter Two is that it's only a chapter when what we're looking for is a whole story. Too much has been left out.

Chapter Two represents Neil Simon at his big-screen best.

Decently acted by James Caan and Marsha Mason but poorly directed transfer to the big screen of Neil Simon's Broadway play; it's too literal and theatrical

I actually found myself laughing a lot. I never knew James Caan had such a hilarious dry wit beneath his usually solemn exterior. Thoroughly enjoyed this one, because it felt real. It was like a real relationship taking place in front of you instead of the typical Hollywood love interest bs. Quite refreshing.
